La Sivolière, the haven of peace in Courchevel
The posh ski resort, perched in the French Alps, offers a varied choice of hotels, restaurants and nightclubs, each more trendy than the next. But one discreet institution stands quietly. La Sivolière, a quality hotel, has many surprises in store for you.
Courchevel 1850, the ski capital of the world, symbolizes French excellence in the heart of the Three Valleys. Famous for its ski area, its countless outdoor activities, but also for its starred restaurants, its boutiques, its nightlife and its events throughout the winter season, the ski resort has become a must. Overlooking the valley, a modern and welcoming hotel stands discreetly behind a row of snow-covered pine trees. It is the Sivolière, a discreet hotel which is no less warm and friendly. Nestled in a wood and stone setting, La Sivolière has earned an exclusive reputation ever since Florence Carcassonne, a highly talented hotelier and owner of the establishment, welcomed guests as if in a family home.
This hotel in Courchevel 1850 has no less than 35 alpine cocoons, suites, rooms and apartments in the Superior, Prestige, Junior and Family categories. La Sivolière and interior designer Sara Copeland worked together to completely renovate the rooms, suites and apartments in the warm and intimate alpine style of a contemporary chalet. The result: a comfortable and cozy atmosphere…
Remarkable services
As soon as you enter the hotel’s porch, a VIP welcome is reserved for guests. Inside, a cocoon lounge, as well as a range of services and facilities, is available. The concierge service books guests’ activities for them, while the nearby ski room allows guests to store their equipment before returning home. La Sivolière offers free shuttles to its clients. Another concept is Mini Sivo, a reception service dedicated to the youngest guests. Finally, a dog service is available for clients and their four-legged friends.
But the particularity of La Sivolière is undoubtedly its bar-restaurant. Florence Carcassonne created the event by inviting her friend Jean to take over the kitchen. The Secret Bar and the Table de Madame, facing the fir trees and the ski slope, offers quality gastronomy in a warm and friendly setting. Grilled beef confit of 7 hours flambéed with oregano, rice pudding with caramel and nougatine, veal cheek cooked in the broth of pot-au-feu confit and grilled: so many delights on its menu. Finally, the Spa, in partnership with Scentiana bio-active cosmetics and the latest LED Dermalux technology, offers clients massages, body rituals, or LED phototherapy sessions to boost their cellular metabolism.
With such a warm and luxurious atmosphere, everything seems to come together for a successful stay at the top of the Alps!
