Journey into the heart of the new hotel on the French Riviera: The CASAROSE
A four star hotel opens its doors this summer, ideally located in the bay of Cannes, in the town of Mandelieu-La-Napoule: Hotel CASAROSE.
In the heart of the French Riviera, one of the favorite places of tourists from all over the world, a hotel as atypical as it is elegant has been created.
CASAROSE defines itself as belonging to the new trend of “feel-good hotels”. Jean-Christophe Larose, CEO of the Cardinal Group, wanted this hotel to be a place where families can relax, play sports and, for companies, welcome their clients.
Inspired by the casual, relaxed and elegant attitude of the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, the CASAROSE Hotel has mixed retro Californian style with French Riviera chic, giving the hotel a modernized vintage look.
The hotel has 56 rooms and suites, all with terraces. It also has a swimming pool, a bar/lounge and a restaurant serving local products from the PACA region. Indeed, the latter works mainly with local fishermen, market gardeners, florists, wine and olive oil producers.
Moreover, located in the mythical Bay of Cannes, between Monaco and Saint-Tropez, the many neighboring towns are full of particularities, some as exceptional as others. You will be able to make a trip to the world of perfumes in Grasse, to the world of glassworks in Biot and finally to the world of ceramics in Vallauris. There is also the city of Cannes, located a few kilometers from Mandelieu, known throughout the world for its annual Festival.
Focus on the interior design of CASAROSE
The architects Laurent Boggio and Eric Boyer are in charge of the renovation of the old buildings. Indeed, CASAROSE is located on the former site of the Golf Park Hotel, and therefore wanted to preserve the general structure of the latter and some elements of its architecture.
Building with white walls, CASAROSE has called on François Dumas for its decoration. Between colorful loggia terraces, cocoons and patios, he has favored color and light, while mixing a design of yesterday and today. His decor was inspired by the free and frenetic spirit of the Californian coast and the French Riviera in the 1960s and 70s.
“We love this mix of modernity and vintage elegance, accentuated by the reuse of the original furniture of the renovated hotel and by contemporary furniture specially created for the premises, mixed with pieces by designers from the 1950s-1960s and creations by local artisans, such as ceramics from Vallauris and glassware from Biot, which emphasize the cultural heritage of the region,” the group said in a statement.
The rooms have also been designed to reflect the region in which the hotel is located. Each room and suite is available in five acidic colors: lemon yellow, lagoon blue, fuchsia pink, mechanical orange and grass green.
Wallpapered with XXL lifestyle photos, the rooms also feature Daniel Buren-style wall stripes, sandblasted floors, colorful concrete screens and giant cacti.
On the pool and garden side, wooden furniture and Matégot type furniture in white perforated metal, typical of the French Riviera, have been used.
By its atypical design, its atmosphere and its unique decoration, the hotel CASAROSE risks to become very quickly a hotel impossible to circumvent of the area, and the place to be of the French Riviera.
