Barcelona: Mandarin Oriental and KKH Property Investors offer a luxury apartment for nearly 70,000 euros per square meter
Located in the most luxurious street of Barcelona, the Mandarin Oriental residence has just finished its work, for an amount of 160 million euros and offers apartments whose prices explode the records.
It is in the heart of Barcelona that the Mandarin Oriental has just completed work on its new building. With 34 residences, including 4 penthouses at the top of the building, the owner, KKH Property Investors, has already sold 15 residences without making visits. The average price per square meter is 30,000 euros and offers will start at 40 million euros.
And it is the 20th floor of the Mandarin Oriental residence in Barcelona that is the object of all covetousness. It will be sold for well over 40 million euros. The penthouse is a duplex of 580 m² that could reach the crazy price of 70,000 euros per m².
KKH bought the building in 2014 with the intention of renovating the former Deutsche Bank offices into a luxury hotel, but in the end it is a permanent residence. The design was handled by National Architecture Award-winning architect Carlos Ferrater, and the British studio Muza Lab handled the interior design.
“We have received several offers up to 40 million euros,” says the property developer in the columns of the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. The apartments on the top 4 floors promise a 360° view of Barcelona with the sea to the Tibidabo via Montjuïc as well as the Sagrada Familía, which is currently being completed.
In addition to the luxurious apartments, the residence offers guests meeting rooms, a reading room, a gym with a view, a sauna etc… as well as the service of a Manarin Oriental hotel, 24 hours a day. “In addition to the exceptional location, the quality of the design, materials used and construction is of the highest possible level, which is why the sales prices are much higher than those in the Barcelona market so far,” explains KKH.
