Cinq Mondes spas celebrate their 20th anniversary
On December 7, 2001, the first Cinq Mondes Spa opened in the heart of the Parisian Golden Triangle, focusing on traditional medicines. The buzz is dazzling in the press. It was enough to inspire the luxury hotel industry.
More than a thousand Cinq Mondes Spas will be franchised in prestigious 4 and 5 star hotels in 36 countries. With an architecture, treatment menu and training provided by the Laboratories of the same name.
Behind this 20-year success story: a concentration of intangible treasures gathered from all over the world by two beauty explorers, Nathalie and Jean-Louis Poiroux.
Prior to their first Spa, the couple set out to explore and learn about the best beauty and well-being rituals. With a focus on five countries or regions : India, China, Japan, Siam (Bali, Laos, Cambodia) and Morocco – with exceptional ancestral rituals, still alive, transmitted and taught.
Nathalie and Jean-Louis Poiroux then strengthened their empirical approach through scientific partnerships with five doctors. Such as Dr. Gensham Marda, a graduate in Ayur- veda, and Dr. Li Hao, a Chi Qong master. These high-level exchanges gave rise to Dermapuncture® techniques, a nee- dle-free acupuncture unique to Cinq Mondes Spas, for genuine natural face lifts.
The petrochemical-free approach to cosmetics so dear to Cinq Mondes Spas is also reflected in the use of patented plant-based active ingredients (organic or natural) and formulas that do not contain silicone or mineral oil, which are improved versions of the World Pharmacopoeias. Instead of petroleum oils, which are inexpensive but occlusive, we prefer “miracle” plant oils such as Camellia, Argan or Kemiri. Certainly, 20 to 30 times more expensive but with incomparable efficiency to regenerate skin and cells.
All of this serves a Beauty that reconciles body and mind, with the greatest respect for nature.
The latest addition to the Samaritaine
Last September, the latest Cinq Mondes Spa was born in the Samaritaine, which has been reopened and brilliantly restored.
This new concept of Spa-Boutique offers stressed urbanites the opportunity to regenerate themselves, during exclusive rituals : 20-minute express treatments inspired by the brand’s emblematic rituals; signature treatments dedicated to the place (the Grand Rituel d’Okinawa) or for the luckiest ones, 3-day cures…
In this 400 m2 cocoon haven, you will find a boutique area with a planted bar, seven beautiful treatment rooms, a hammam, a cosy lounge with deep sofas overlooking an interior garden… Enough to get you back on track!
