Discover the galaxy with the Star Wars Hotel by Disney
Who hasn’t dreamed, as a Star Wars fan, of being able to live in the intergalactic universe of the films ? This is now possible with this new Disney hotel, for the sum of 5,000 dollars a night.
At Disney World in Florida, the Star Wars : Galactic Starcruiser opened its doors to its first guests on 1 March. The week before, media and influencers (YouTube, Tik Tok) were given a free preview.
The hotel, which only offers a two-night stay, is billed as the ultimate immersive “Star Wars” experience. Guests are encouraged to dress up in costumes, participate in special missions and enjoy a trip to the planet Batuu. For two adults, the starting price is approximately $5,000. For three adults and a child, the price is close to $6,000.
So far, the reviews have been quite positive, the actors playing the characters have been particularly appreciated, but the main complaint is that the rooms are small and cramped. However, with so many activities on offer, such as lightsaber training, clandestine rendezvous and ship exploration, time spent in the room is limited. Guests must download an app for their smartphone to chat with the characters on board, receive their missions and learn their scenarios to fully immerse themselves in the universe.
“The number one thing that will make this experience worthwhile for you or not is how much you will immerse yourself in the story. You have to suspend reality,” AllEars reporter Molly McCormack said in her review.
“You have to be ready to play,” writes CNBC’s Sarah Whitten. “Passengers get back what they put into their time on the Halcyon. If you suspend your disbelief, embrace the story and participate without embarrassment, it will be a trip you and your family will never forget.”
