François Perret opens his own pastry shop in Paris: The Ritz Comptoir
François Perret, named best pastry chef in the world in 2019, has just opened his own pastry shop in Paris on Monday, June 7th.
The boutique, tinted with amber, beige and white
All in white and beige materials, the boutique has been designed to reflect the excellence and preciousness of François Perret’s creations. The giant ceiling light, made up of 60 pieces of blown Bohemian crystal, brings amber and translucent reflections to the ceiling and elegantly recalls the chef’s madeleines and chestnut honey. The brushed brass alcoves behind the white counter are a reference to the emblematic Ritz façade. Also, when the sanitary situation allows it, a large beige leather bench will allow the curious to come and taste the chef’s pastries. However, it will also be possible to take the delights of the house home with you, thanks to the Click & Collect system set up in the boutique.
“The opening of this gourmet boutique will allow Parisians to take my pastries home and make the legend of the Ritz Paris their own. I like the notion of spontaneity and sharing that you find in takeaway sales, the sudden desire to please yourself or your loved ones“, commented François Perret.
The delights of the house
From pains au chocolat to millefeuilles, not forgetting the inevitable trompe-l’œil entremets, and not forgetting caramel or marbled cakes, François Perret will be offering his unique know-how to his future customers.
A small novelty in his range of pastries: the pastry drinks. Three of them have been created on the basis of a mixture of milk and whipped cream with several toppings such as marbled biscuit powder, cocoa crumble or intense vanilla syrup. What is certain is that these new products are sure to please pastry lovers.
Inaugurated today, June 7th 2021, the shop will be open from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, for all those who love François Perret’s creations.
