Hennessy celebrates its collaboration with Maluma with a customised bottle
To celebrate the three-year collaboration with the world-famous Colombian singer Maluma, the Hennessy cognac house has presented a special limited edition bottle.
The first Hennessy bottle designed with a musical artist
Hennessy had already called on the Colombian singer in 2019 to design a unique cocktail, but this time it is a brand new project that starts for both of them. Indeed, this is the first time a musical artist has co-imagined a bottle with a cognac house.
The collaboration was conceived and developed around the House’s philosophy of Never Stop, Never Settle, and celebrates the influences of Latin culture on fashion, music and art.
The bottle of Hennessy V.S.O.P cognac was entirely designed by the singer and was intended to reflect his culture and roots. In neon colours, it tells the story of the singer and represents his native city, Medellín.
“Our beautiful Latin American culture is an eclectic mix of vibrant colours and tones. They inspired me in the design of the bottle. I wanted to represent the warm hospitality of our people and depict how we enjoy life with our family, music, values and ancestral culture,” Maluma explains.
Collaborations are an integral part of the development strategy employed by Hennessy. With a desire to expand into a variety of sectors and to appeal to new generations of consumers, it is not surprising to see the House align itself with Maluma, one of the hottest singers on the music scene today.
Jasmin Allen, senior vice president of Hennessy US, said: “Through this collaboration, we continue our legacy of embracing Maluma’s exuberant approach with this limited edition Hennessy V.S.O.P – where quality meets uncompromising originality. Hennessy has long championed and celebrated those who push the boundaries of what is possible and Maluma’s journey perfectly embodies our brand philosophy,” she added later.
The Hennessy V.S.O.P bottle designed by Maluma is already available worldwide, but for a limited time. A bottle glorifier will also be available later.
