Luxury brands : these TV ads that made us dream at Christmas
For the holiday season, luxury brands have no shortage of imagination to make us dream and enter their world. Here are 5 TV ads that embody both luxury and holiday magic.
Réincarnation by Chanel
“Réincarnation” is the short film created and directed by Karl Lagerfeld to accompany the Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d’art collection. Presented on December 2, 2014 in Salzburg, this mini film was the perfect opportunity for Lagerfeld to develop an artistic collaboration with Pharrell Williams, close to the House and personal friend of the designer. The artist composed and wrote the lyrics for “CC The World,” the soundtrack to Reincarnation. He also plays one of the main roles with Cara Delevingne, in a romantic dance in the style of Sisi the Empress.
L’odyssée “Winter Tale” by Cartier
For Christmas 2012, Cartier is launching an advertising film inspired by its “Odyssey” campaign, twisted for the holidays. The mini film features two very young panthers playing in a snowy, fairy-tale world, with the music of the film “Edward Scissorhands” as the soundtrack. As the majestic panthers wander through the snow, we discover jewels and Cartier watches. The film concludes with the opening of a magical Cartier case.
Rétro by Gucci
Gucci‘s 2020 Christmas campaign depicts a party in an office with retro 90s decor. As the clock strikes 5, colleagues, dressed in Gucci, play the office Christmas game. Between two small fours, colleagues unwrap gifts from the range, including GG woolly jacquard scarves and hats, GG Marmont bags and the 1977 Gucci Tennis sneaker in multicolored metallic sequins. A retro nod that makes you smile.
Le conte de Noël by Christian Louboutin
“Once upon a time, in a dark land where the moon and the glittering stars had disappeared, there was a craftsman perched atop a tower of dark stones.” Christian Louboutin unveils the 2018 Christmas tale “The Queen’s Shoes and the Stolen Stars” featuring the brand’s most beautiful shoes.
Le progrès réécrit votre histoire by Audi
Also in 2018, Audi makes us smile with this commercial about Santa Claus. Bored, the latter takes up sport and begins a radical transformation. The following Christmas, here he is at the wheel of an Audi RS 5 Sportback, which had made him dream last year.
