Nestled in the heart of the Alps, the Chabichou (re)welcomes you for a stay between sport and relaxation
The legendary Courchevel institution, the Chabichou, is getting ready to reopen its doors on December 10 after a complete renovation of the hotel and its spa.
The 5-star Chabichou Hotel, created in 1963 and a Relais & Châteaux member since 2012, overlooks the slopes of Courchevel. It is a mythical place and a prime location in the heart of the village, right next to the slopes of the 3 valleys, the largest ski area in the world.
Between tradition and modernity, Le Chabichou combines current trends and typical Savoyard charm. The hotel has 41 rooms and suites with a contemporary and authentic spirit.
The hotel is full of services, like the bar Le Sidonie, a cosy place with a particularly warm atmosphere. Its name is a nod to Sidonie, the first owner of the Chabichou. It is a bit the soul of the establishment: a friendly place, where one likes to relax after a day of skiing. There is also a ski shop, with direct access to the 3 Valleys ski area, where you can rent all the equipment you need to ski or snowboard. Hotel guests also have access to a children’s club, a bakery/grocery store and a hair salon.
The restaurant Le Chabichou x Stéphane Buron is an inventive and refined gastronomic table. For more than 30 years, Stéphane Buron has put all his passion into his cooking. Best Worker in France in 2004 and settled in Courchevel since 1987, he brings to the hotel all his skills acquired, among others, with Christian Willer at the Martinez in Cannes, at Palm Beach in the United States or at the Elysée Palace.
The renovation of the spa welcomes Sothys, a reference in the world of well-being. Nestled under the slopes, the spa has become the largest wellness area in the resort, with completely new equipment covering nearly 1100m2 dedicated to sensory escape: hydrodynamic pool, hammam, polar bath, ice fountain, walking channel, sensory shower, salt grotto… But also a fitness area and six treatment rooms.
The range of Sothys products is used for each treatment and massage provided: massages and body treatments, specific facials, scrubs and other aesthetic treatments such as the spa’s signature treatment: the Deep Tissue, a Sothys nutri-relaxing massage.
