Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua : a haven of peace
The Sofitel hotel complex in Bali found itself in the spotlight, hosting the last G20 summit. An opportunity to discover, or rediscover, this five-star resort of French inspiration.
Located in Nusa Dua, one of Bali’s most luxurious resorts, bordering the Indian Ocean, this resort is ideally situated. It is ideally suited for tourists seeking a seaside retreat.
Ten years old, the resort has taken advantage of the pandemic to get a makeover, at a cost of several million dollars. Between authenticity, a mix of Balinese and French inspiration, wood, sun and warmth, this place is synonymous with peace and rest. “Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach, a 5-star resort where time stops and your magnificent experience begins,” describes its director, Sylvain Pasdeloup.
The hotel has 415 rooms of at least 45 m2, including 39 suites and villas with private pools. Between simplicity, brightness and comfort, all these apartments have been refurbished and brought up to date. A very large outdoor swimming pool allows you to swim between the rooms or to sip a cocktail with your feet in the water. Unless you prefer a lagoon pool or one with a Jacuzzi. Between the transparent water of the Indian Ocean and the multiple pools, visitors have plenty to relax in. A spa and a wellness center with typical massages as well as facials and body treatments are also offered.
The resort has five bars and restaurants such as Kwee Zeen, which offers international à la carte dishes in buffet style. La Cucina serves seafood and Italian dishes, all accompanied by a selection of wines. The OH Pool Bar is located next to one of the many pools. Another offers cocktails overlooking the ocean. The G20 also enjoyed its 12 meeting rooms and two large ballrooms, one of which faces the sea.
Located in the exclusive hotel zone of Nusa Dua, with a magnificent sunrise, a pristine beach and 7 kilometers of seaside paths, the Sofitel Bali is a true haven of peace. Let’s hope it will have inspired the participants of the G20 2022…
