The Concours of elegance opens its doors today for its 10th edition

The UK’s largest Concours of Elegance unveils a comprehensive and spectacular list of cars for this anniversary edition, covering nearly 120 years of motoring.
Established in 2012, the inaugural Concours of Elegance was held in Windsor Castle to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen’s reign. Organized by Thorough Events, the inaugural Concours d’Elegance set a new global benchmark for a classic car competition. Only cars of the highest caliber are invited to the Concours of Elegance, from all over the world, and carefully selected by the Concours Steering Committee, a respected team of historic car experts. One of the main purposes of the annual Concours d’Elegance is to raise significant funds for charity. Today, it celebrates its 10th anniversary in style with some very rare cars at Hampton Court Palace.

“This is our tenth anniversary and we have done everything we can to bring together a selection of cars like never before. Our goal is to bring together the rarest and most spectacular cars in the world, which we have certainly done for 2022. The 70 cars in the main competition, selected from some of the world’s greatest private collections, contain countless internationally renowned motor cars, many of which have never been seen in the UK before,” enthused James Brooks-Ward, CEO of the Concours d’Elegance.

In total, nearly 1,000 vehicles will be on display throughout the weekend and 70 cars have been selected for the main competition. This year’s list includes the most spectacular and rare cars, from the unique 1938 Hispano-Suiza Dubonnet Xenia to the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO.
Other highlights include the 1966 Ferrari 365P Berlinetta ‘Tre Posti’, HRH Prince Charles’ 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante and the 1930 Bentley Speed 6 Blue Train Coupe.
