The watchmaking house Baume and the high-end ski brand Zag sign a new watch
The Baume brand, the latest addition to the Richemont group, unveils a new eco-responsible watch with an innovative design made with the materials of the French ski house Zag. An edition which includes only a hundred copies.
Carried by the success of their first collaboration, Baume joins the Zag brand a second time and continues to promote upcycling by once again affirming its desire to combine innovative design and eco-responsible awareness.
The new Baume x Zag Limited edition watch was produced from scrap materials from the Chamonix ski house Zag.
This model has a diameter of 42 mm and has a cap composed of a “sandwich” core of natural wood, carbon and fiberglass, all arranged on a blue aluminum container which thus seals the movement and protects it from external shocks.
The latest addition to the Richemont group, thus gives new life to materials (from wood to plastic) and demonstrates the full extent of its know-how: the watch face is adorned with shades of white and blue, subtly resuming the Z of the Zag house.
“Baume and Zag are putting a high point in creating products, watches and skis, of high quality and imprinted with a strong and tangible history. It was obvious for us to continue our history with Zag” declared Antoine Puissant, spokesperson of Baume.
This watch comes with 2 interchangeable straps. A white strap with cork lining and blue stitching, and a second blue cotton strap with cork lining and yellow stitching. The two straps thus offering two different but complementary sports looks.
In addition, to celebrate this new partnership, 2% of the proceeds from the sale of each watch will be donated to the Protect Our Winters association, which mobilizes the outdoor sports community in the fight against climate change.
The BAUME x ZAG Limited Edition II watch is already available exclusively on the website www.baumewatches.com. Only 100 models will be available for sale. Count approximately 1200 € to get a copy.
